The desulfurization pump is a specialized centrifugal pump specifically designed for power plant flue gas desulfurization and chemical desulfurization systems. Its core function is to transport highly corrosive media containing gypsum particles and acidic slurries. Its design is highly compatible with the core operating conditions of wet desulfurization (such as limestone-gypsum desulfurization) and can reliably handle the stringent requirements of desulfurization systems: high corrosion, high solids content, and continuous operation. It is a critical conveying device for ensuring efficient operation of desulfurization systems in power plants and chemical plants, and achieving environmentally friendly emissions.

Corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant dual-effect flow components
The core components that are in direct contact with the desulfurization slurry, such as the pump body and impeller, are cast from high-chromium alloy (such as Cr26, Cr30) or duplex steel (such as 2205). The material not only has excellent acid resistance (can resist corrosion from acid and alkali slurries with a pH value of 1-14), but also has high hardness (surface hardness of HRC50 or above). It can simultaneously resist the chemical corrosion of the desulfurization slurry and the physical erosion of gypsum particles, thereby extending the life of the components from the structural source.
Leak-proof and wear-resistant sealing system​
Equipped with a combined sealing solution of "mechanical seal + dedicated flushing system" - the mechanical seal adopts silicon carbide-silicon carbide or silicon carbide-graphite wear-resistant matching materials to improve the wear resistance of the sealing surface; the flushing system injects clean coolant to cool the sealing surface and reduce slurry adhesion, while blocking high-concentration slurry from invading the sealing cavity, effectively preventing slurry leakage, and adapting to the needs of conveying high-solid content and highly corrosive media in the desulfurization system.
High load and long life bearing assemblies
Heavy-duty deep groove ball bearings or cylindrical roller bearings are used, and the rated dynamic load of the bearings is more than 30% higher than that of ordinary pump bearings. They can stably withstand the radial and axial loads during the operation of the desulfurization pump. At the same time, they are equipped with bearing cooling devices (such as water cooling jackets or air coolers) to remove the heat generated by the bearing operation in real time, avoiding bearing lubrication failure due to high temperature, significantly extending the bearing service life, and ensuring continuous and stable operation of the equipment.

Super strong corrosion and wear resistance
Relying on special materials and structural design, it can stably adapt to strong acid and strong alkaline desulfurization slurries with a pH value of 1-14, and can withstand erosion by gypsum slurry with a solid content of ≤60%. The service life of wearing parts (impeller, mechanical seal) is 2-3 times longer than that of ordinary centrifugal pumps, greatly reducing the frequency of shutdowns and replacements due to component wear and corrosion, and lowering maintenance costs.
Precise adaptation to desulfurization conditions
Through the design of a dedicated hydraulic model for desulfurization, the pump flow and head parameters are precisely matched to the slurry circulation volume and conveying height of the desulfurization system (for example, the flow rate of a single pump can cover 50-2000m³/h, and the head is suitable for 10-80m). This can stably convey high-concentration slurry containing gypsum particles without the risk of pipe blockage, ensuring the smooth operation of the desulfurization system's slurry circulation and gypsum discharge.
High reliability and continuous operation
The structural design fully considers the "24-hour continuous operation" requirement of the desulfurization system. It has no complex and easily faulty components, and the equipment has a mean time between failures (MTBF) of more than 8,000 hours. Even under conditions of fluctuating slurry composition and changing loads, it can still maintain stable operation, significantly reducing the desulfurization system's downtime for maintenance due to pump failures, and ensuring the continuity of environmentally friendly emissions.
